Individual Therapy
Starting therapy can be an overwhelming and difficult process for some people. The start of a recovery journey may be acknowledging that we some extra support, and ultimately making a decision to start psychological therapy can be a decision to support yourself and your wellbeing.
When it comes to therapy there are different types and no therapy fits every individual. We all come with different experiences, backgrounds, expectations and values. For some we might have a clear idea of what we are looking for or wanting, for others part of therapy might be working this out together.
I have experience of working with individuals across the lifespan from varied backgrounds with different needs and learning styles.
I have experience working with individuals with:
-
Trauma and complex trauma
-
Emotional distress and distress tolerance
-
Physical health conditions
-
Anxiety (including panic and phobia)
-
Low mood
-
Low self-confidence
-
Alcohol and substance use
-
Individuals from the LGBTQIA+ Community
I attempt to offer a non-judgmental, supportive and inclusive space. Feeling comfortable with the person you are working with is one of the most vital parts of therapy. I would always encourage people to speak to more than one psychological therapist before deciding on who they feel most comfortable with, and is one reason I offer a free introductory call.
I offer therapy in person at Queens Park, Brighton and online.
I work with individuals who self-fund sessions as well as the main health insurance companies. Please do get in touch regarding current prices. I do offer a sliding scale for single parents, students and those on benefits.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your needs and think about what feels supportive for you.
